Homecoming NAS Lemoore

We can imagine it is hard on families to be away from each other for long periods of time. We understand this better if we, ourselves, have families. But what if you not only had to endure separation for months but also had to go through pregnancy and birth without your spouse. What if you had to be away from your wife when she had your baby. What if you couldn't meet your own child until months after they were born. This is the sacrifice we ask of our military service members. We ask this without thinking much about it. It's a hard life for those who serve and those who stay behind to keep life on track and moving forward. To all those who serve I want to say thank you. For all those who stay behind while their husbands and wives are away I want to say thank you. I'd vote for universal service in a second, because I know as much as these situations suck that they could easily be made better if we all had to step up and serve our nation. If we could all experience these impossibly hard moments where we are forced to be separate we might all vote for legislation and lawmakers who can help keep us together.
